The Last Stand 2!

The Last Stand 2 is the highest rated flash on Newgrounds currently, and is one of the best games on the site in many peoples opinion. I played it many times over, and it has been complicated on my laptop.

First thing: Controls. The controls on the game are simple enough with a up down left and right mechanic using the W,S,A,D keys or arrow keys. Though when moving at certain points you can become stuck and not move at all, it works fairly well. Next is shooting. With a simple reticle and left clicking maneuver you can defeat the leagues of enemies beating you to death with you're own legs, but there's still some problems. When standing at the bottom of the screen and shooting up you can create largely effective tactics and cover all your bases, but vise-versa, it's a disaster. As famous with the first game, by shooting in the down direction, you can barely hit anything a milimeter below you.

#2: Plot. With a plot going straight of the first ones ending, you've crashed and have to make it to Union City in 40 days. You must survive and run to Union in the allotment of time, or you will fail. *Note* During the game if you die, if you press RETRY? button in 2 seconds of when it appears, you will try again with all your friends and their weapons.*

Graphics: The graphics in the game are amazing, highly detailed and run fast on low computers and laptops. There are thousands of models for zombies which all are individually created and beautifully designed. The backgrounds are highly detailed also, having such simple but meaningful objects like grimy dressers or scaved wood holding back the blood and dirt covered behemoths.

Well..... I can't edit right now. And we're kinda deep in. So we're going to hold off a month so we can sign specific jobs to all of us three. We'll give you new posts every couple days still. I'm very sorry for all the delay but everything will be sorted out by May 5. That's just a date that is one month from now so it may take a little longer or shorter. I am going to do a few audio things just for the hell of it so you don't get super pissed. I'm still trying to get us on iTunes, but it really takes a long time for them to put it up. If Deku can figure out how to properly edit, I will have more stuff together faster. But I'll still probably do all the editing so it can be high quality. Podcast Delay :(

I'm just writing to inform you guys that there has been a slight (1 day) delay on the podcast. It was supposed to be released today, but some things arose and I had no access to my computer or microphone for the entire day. However, I will release the podcast tomorrow, on Tuesday. I'm really sorry guys. But it will still be released, and we're already working on the second episode.

I have finished reviewing our big star, and I'm trying to find more artists. Once it's out we'll probably get more attention. We are doing very well as it's almost put together, Zero-Gravity just needs to send in the reviews. So now that we have a good enough staff, we've began production and I've already booked one of the best artists on Newgrounds who worked on some awe-inspiring flashes but has sadly been out of the game for the past year or so since he's been undergoing so much website maintenance and is trying to juggle many projects. Some of you can instantly tell who this is but i want to keep it a surprise to most. And zero-gravity is already starting to review recent submissions. I have been trying to book many artists so we have a stock pile of stuff to use in future episodes. I assure you this'll be a very good podcast and will be worked on hard by the three of us. Anyone who knows how to run videos subsequently in the back round during the show please email me or deku. It would really help if we had someone to put in videos for the review parts of the show. Thanks.

Well, as Deku pointed out we're gaining supporters, and I really hope this project gets off the ground! We do need some money for hosting charges and a website theme so anyone with a little extra cash we'd love it if you gave just a few dollars to our PayPal! It'll be up soon and we will accept SMALL donations from any of you guys. We really don't want to be a burden. We will be up in just a couple weeks, and are already working on getting some of the talented Artists of NewGrounds to help and get us some publicity!

An Update

Wow, I really need to lay off of the blog posts for today. However, a lot has happened, and therefor you guys should be informed. First off: JohnnyUtah, Newgrounds admin and creator of the Tankmen series, is supporting the podcast. This is a big achievement, and we're hoping that we'll get some more Newgrounds supporters in the future. Tom Fulp and other members of the staff have been sent a PM on Newgrounds concerning the podcast. Of course, Tom is already aware of the podcast, as he said that he would make it official if he liked it.
Secondly, a Newgrounds user by the name of citrisquid is agreeing to make us a Newgrounds theme for the blog, for around $20. And camobch0 is offering to pay for it, which is extremely nice of him. z
The podcast is really making some achievements- all we can hope for now is that people like it and it gets official. That will be the greatest achievement. Also, we are considering adding a prank call to the podcast. I think that it would give everyone a good laugh.

Possible T-Shirt Ideas

Publicize, Publicize, Publicize

Hey guys, Dekuboy here. I just wanted to tell you guys that the staff has to publicize the project and the site, whether on Newgrounds or on another site. Our two main goals are to get more people going to Newgrounds and to inform Newgrounders of the daily happenings, but how are we supposed to do that when very few people know about it? Of course, if this this goes well, Tom will make it official, and then we'll have quite a reputation. (Hopefully). But until then, it's important to spread the word.
In other news- I'm working on a pretty cool banner for our site. Basically, it's the golden Newgrounds stripes as a background, with a NG tank to the left, only there's an iPod on it instead of a Tankman. To the right it says "Newgrounds Podcast", and then in smaller letters below it says "Everything, On your iPod". I hope it turns out good. I'm going to be making it in Flash.

The rebirth of a 30 minute old idea

Well, now we've decided upon a blogspot site, and we will be trying to serve you best we can. At least once a week we will have an audio or visual podcast and will bring you the best and worst Flashes, audios, trends, BBS posts, and much more. Within the next couple of weeks we will have atleast 1 show up. Each one will be 30-80 minutes long. We're going to make it downloadable to your iPod, but we have only started in this and not yet have formed the whole crew. But don't worry because were going to be up soon enough.
